Care & Cleaning instructions for Tufted, Woven and Knotted Carpets
Our ranges of tufted, woven and knotted carpets are made from quality raw materials. With proper care and cleaning, they will last for several years.
Do not pull loose or protruding ends; instead neatly clip with a pair of scissors.
Remove spills immediately. If liquid, blot with a clean undyed cloth by pressing firmly around the spill to absorb as much as possible.
Remove food spills or grease etc by gently scraping with a spoon or the blunt edge of a knife.
Hand brush or light vacuum regularly to prevent dust & crumbs from settling to the roots of the fibres.
Keep away from sharp objects & fire places.
Exposure to direct sunlight may result in colour fading. Avoid prolonged direct exposure to sunlight.
Rugs placed in daylight areas must be turned often.
Rotate or reposition the rug every three or six months to enable even wear & tear and also fading of colors.
Please do not soak in any liquid. In case of water or any liquid gets spilled, soak up quicklywith a colorfast cloth, and the carpet should be dried on both front & back sides.
Avoid use of harsh chemicals for removal of stains.
Keep away from sharp objects, hot surfaces and open fire places.
Avoid keeping furniture with sharp legs on top of the rug as it might leave a deep impression.
These carpets are for indoor use only, but avoid using in damp areas such as basements, bathrooms and kitchens.
If the carpet needs to be stored for a long time, then it must be rolled with the front-side in and wrapped with a clean cloth (do not fold or put in an airtight plastic bag).
Occasional professional rug cleaning is recommended. Do not dry clean.
Wool carpets experience fiber shredding for initial few weeks; this is normal and gradually decrease with time.
